About the AFHK Parentshare Forum

This listserve provides a safe, confidential forum in which parents can pose questions, ask for advice and share information, resources and suggestions. It is an English-language forum, and we welcome adoptive parents of all nationalities with children from any country and any age.

All parenting topics are welcome, and those specially related to adoption are encouraged. When the conversation veers off topic between two people, we encourage the posters to continue their conversation off-list.

This group is not searchable on the Internet and the postings will be seen only by the participants.

We ask that no postings and e-mails generated from this group be forwarded or shared with others without the permission of the moderator and the author of the posting.

While we do not ask our members to divulge personal details (such as addresses or phone numbers), we do ask posters to sign their notes using their real names and list such details as the ages or gender of their kids, where relevant, as it helps build community.

As a diverse group, we respect differences in nationality, race, religion, and other individual backgrounds.

We ask members to refrain from postings of a political or a commercial nature (i.e., solicitations, advertisements, and other business pitches), and to keep the conversation appropriate to topics of concern to adoptive parents raising adopted children.

The moderator reserves the right to block a posting with offensive content or to remove a participant from the list for failing to abide by the rules and guidelines.
